NoBS Member/Photo of the Month: Tina Miera
I've had a passion for photography since age 12. I majored in Graphic Design (later changing my major to Business Management since I couldn't draw a straight line to save my life!) and wrote my first studio business plan 20 years ago-yikes! I didn’t pursue it any further. I was afraid that if I did it for money, photography would no longer be fun. I was content photographing family and friends. Then three years ago, when my kids begin leaving home and I was facing a new chapter in my life, I decided what the hell, if it stops being fun, I'll just quite. Well, it is more fun than ever and I’m kicking myself for not starting sooner. All my life, when asked if I could have any job in the world, the answer was always "a wildlife photographer", now I photograph the cutest wildlife of all- babies! I love my "job".
My photography took a HUGE jump in quality after joining NoBS. It is a great place for inspiration, support and if I have a question, the answer is there.
The winning photo was from a portfolio session. I needed some fresh studio maternity images, as most of my maternity sessions had been done on location. It certainly helped that I had a beautiful model, with the most perfect baby bump!
