Inferno 2010 Update

Afraid you missed the boat on signing up for Inferno 2010 in the Windy City this April? The good news is that there are still plenty of seats left, and now NoBS members can get a reduced rate of $147 for the three-day event. This spring version of the Inferno promises to bring brand new information and the usual assortment of exciting speakers. Familiar faces will include Mike Long, Rob Provencher, and James Hodgins. Nashville Inferno 2010 Planning Underway

Although it may seem early still, planning is underway for the Fall 2010 Inferno in Nashville. Rob is looking for input from members on things such as the venue, accommodations, seminar topics, etc. If you have previously attended, your input is highly desired. If you haven't attended but there is something you'd really like to see covered, again, please don't hesitate to add your thoughts to the thread.

What Would You Do?

If you don't have a studio space where you can meet with clients, it becomes quite a challenge to not only maintain a professional appearance but also to find a safe place to meet. Straight from the forum comes a thread started by a female photographer who recently was invited to a potential client's home to do her sales pitch. The photographer felt extremely uneasy with this given she would essentially be going alone to a stranger's home. But she didn't want to lose the opportunity either. How would you handle this? An Exercise In Composition

Regardless of your skill level, have you ever wondered about the thought process that experienced pros use when composing their images? NoBS member and wedding photographer extraordinaire, Lisamphoto (Lisa Marie), generously took some time out to post a couple of her images to explain what worked and didn't work in terms of composition. Marketing 101: Restaurant Displays

Rob's got a new video regarding a restaurant display he has had for 10 years and has redone at the request of the restaurant owner. As part of his effort to ramp up marketing for Senior portraits, Rob takes advantage and incorporates some Senior portraits into the new display at the restaurant. Rob recently shared that he is having his website overhauled and redesigned to be 100% Wordpress-based. He has been communicating via video with the designer and he posted one of his recent videos so that NoBS members could follow the progress and process of website redesign.
