New Vendor: EventPhotoMarket
Greetings all from EventPhotoMarket.com! We are the newest member of the NoBS preferred vendor list. Let me tell you a little about me and my little company and how we can help you.
My name is Jim Roshan. I am a professional commercial/editorial photographer with over 24 yeas of experience working for news papers, magazines, and various corporate clients. By accident 12 years ago I got involved in shooting sports action event photography and that's when my world started changing for me. July of 2001 I was given the opportunity to start up a Sony dealership and on that date EventPhotoMarket.com was born. Today EPM is the largest supplier of products and services to event photographers in the world. We sell over 50 brands of products and keep adding. We are also a full service event and sports lab that has some of the best pricing and turnaround times in the industry.
In January of 2002 I started the International Association of Professional Event Photographers (Why? Basically because nothing existed for us event photographers at the time). It has since been renamed to the Society of Sport and Event Photographers and is the host to the largest conference of event photographers in the world (SEPCON). I am no longer involved with the day-to-day running of the association but still hold the title of President on the Advisory Board.
I strive to come up with educational events for event photographers. We assist, sponsor, advise and/or host various events around the U.S. on an annual basis and plan on creating several other kinds of educational tools like DVD's and reading materials along with a free online community for professional event photographers to hang out at.
Our biggest asset is the fact that we know more than any other competitor we have about the sports and event photo industry. We have a staff of over 30 with 17 full-time professional photographers. We shot everything from Sports Action to T&I, Various Events, Commercial, Editorial, Portrait (studio and outdoor), Seniors and Weddings on the side!
