Turn your Vivitar 285 HV Flash Into An On Demand Lighting System

This started as a "pet project" because it was frustrating waiting for our AA's to recycle fast enough. I need flash batteries with enough kick to capture all the wonderful moments happening at the weddings we were photographing. We were missing the best photographs waiting! I could never find a product that would give me the performance I needed with heavy-duty construction and at an affordable price. Similar battery packs started at over 5 bills and then you had to add cords and chargers..ouch! Most will not power 2 flashes with one battery and some systems still require AA batteries. These can get expensive, heavy to carry around, and don’t we have enough in our landfills? I needed a system that would provide consistent reliable power throughout an entire wedding with no fear that I had to recharge.

I also wanted a bracket that would hold both my flash and pocket wizard off camera on either a light stand or a tripod/monopod without messy duct tape or Velcro. I needed speed when setting up at either a wedding or for on location for portraits. It needed to be small and pack easily. Don’t we have enough to carry?

When I started using this and all my photo buddies saw what it did and the results I was getting, they wanted one too. It made your job easy! So EZ1 was born. Along with a partner, and engineer, we began manufacturing and EZ1Photo is now a full time business.
