NoBS Member of the Month: Judy Fischmann
I wish I could claim some great, unrealized passion for photography from birth. But that's not how it happened. By the time I got my first SLR, I had 3 kids and a Wall Street career. The company I worked for was sold and I was out of a job. I played housewife for a couple of months and got really bored, really fast. I spent a lot of time photographing my kids that summer.
Then I found NoBS, bought my first SLR, started my business and never looked back. My first clients were friends. They recommended their friends and family and it took off from there. I was lucky in that there was really no one in my community doing the relaxed, fun style of photography that I was seeing on NoBS.
NoBS was my entire education. The greatest benefit for me was posting pictures and getting detailed feedback. I asked a lot of questions and got great answers. From lighting to equipment to business practices, I found it all on NoBS. It's been 2 1/2 years since I started my business and I've exceeded every one of the goals I set for myself. Now on to my 2008 goals!
