Greetings members! Welcome to our new newsletter format. We are excited and appreciative of those who helped pull it together, people such as Gabriella (Gabi) and Shawn (Riff). Without people like them pulling together, we would not be able to keep the No BS spirit alive.
One of our personal challenges, as always, is trying to maintain our own studios and stay on top in the forum. I know James is constantly in there and he contributes way more than I do. He does so passionately and with a sincere desire to help others. I, on the other hand, work diligently 'under the radar', organizing interviews, content, consulting, and 'stuff' to bring to the forum. More on that in a second.
I guess one of the cool things about No BS Photo Success is the fact that we are real, live, breathing, and working photographers. Not academics. We also love what we do and love learning and sharing with others who are like us. That, in a nutshell, is the essence and the spirit of No BS.
Whenever we get together at a seminar or workshop, that spirit shines through. A few weeks ago, James and I were featured speakers in Ohio, (we had the 'Big Room', 300 people, while Eddie Tapp, the famous digital guru, spoke one floor up from us- that's a daunting feeling when you know a guy of his magnitude is on while you are) at the Mid East States annual PPA convention. This was awesome. We made some great new friends and hung out with old ones.
Suzette, also a No BS member, who we met last year at a workshop that Uncle Charlie put on, was there as well. She's the speaker chair who brought us in. She emailed me a few days afterwards and said we were a big hit, that we presented stuff that was not heard before. Aside from an 18-hour drive back home and two major highway detours, the entire trip was a huge success. I had to sit in the same car with James for 18 hours straight, and no one got hurt. Amazing.
Last month, we spoke in Cozumel alongside Craig Minielly. We had a small group with five registrants in attendance, but we all had a blast. We plan on returning there next year, bigger and better than ever. Keep on top of that gig here: Cozumel
That's it for now. We hope you enjoy our new NoBS Newsletter and look forward to your continued growth and success with NoBS. See you next month!
